QNAP TS-253E

The TS-253E features 2.5GbE connectivity, 8GB RAM, and M.2 slots for NVMe SSD caching to deliver high performance for applications such as surveillance systems, virtual machines, file servers or backup servers. Dual HDMI outputs also provide direct multimedia playback and robust surveillance monitoring. QNAP will provide long-term availability and support for the TS-253E, providing a great choice for businesses requiring matching NAS models deployed in multiple locations.

The TS-253E uses the QTS operating system by default. You will be able to switch to using the QuTS hero operating system. QuTS hero provides benefits such as ZFS data integrity and WORM technology to prevent data tampering. (Switching to QuTS hero is supported starting from QTS 5.2.1.)

Dual 2.5GbE ports
2.5 times faster network speed with existing CAT5e cables; supports port trunking to deliver up to 5Gbps.

Dual M.2 2280 PCIe slots
Attain greater NAS performance by installing M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe SSDs (sold separately) or Edge TPU.
